Location, direction, and elapsed time
N3XRA Bearing is a simple Apple Watch utility from N3XRA LLC. See a nearby street, coordinates, a compass heading, and a stopwatch. Open the small menu beside the logo for Compass, Stopwatch, Settings, and About.
Getting a location
Allow location access when prompted. Street lookup requires a network connection; coordinates may remain available without one. Buildings, terrain, and limited satellite visibility can affect readings. Street names are approximate. Location and compass readings update while those views are active, and pause when you switch away.
Compass
The bearing is where the watch points, not necessarily where you are travelling. T means true north; M means magnetic north. Nearby metal and magnets can interfere. A dash or “Heading unavailable” means there is no valid recent compass reading. The compass requires supported watch hardware.
Stopwatch
Tap Start to count, Stop to pause, and Start again to resume. Reset is available when stopped. Elapsed time is saved and continues across app switching and reopening. Timing does not require background GPS. Changing the system clock can affect elapsed time.
Settings and privacy
Choose decimal degrees or degrees and minutes, and select magnetic north if preferred. There is no account, advertising, analytics, or N3XRA location-history server. Read the N3XRA Bearing privacy policy.
